Visiting the museum with children

The home of Teresia and Rafael Lönnström has lots of things for visitors of all ages to explore. We also have activities for children. A visit to the Home Museum is a perfect outing for the whole family!

Lönnström mouse videos

The museum has a special room upstairs for the Lönnström home mouse, where you can watch the adventures of the mouse throughout the entire home. The friendly mouse introduces the various rooms and tells stories about Teresia, Else and Rafael, who used to live there.

The mouse also has fun activities for children to engage in around the museum. The mouse videos can also be watched on mobile devices while exploring the museum.

The Lönnström mouse videos are available on the home museum’s YouTube channel. The videos are in Finnish only.

VR tour of the yard at the House of Khronos

The Home Museum gallery has a HTC Vive virtual reality headset that allows you to experience the House of Khronos contemporary art project. In the art project conducted by the Lönnström Art Museum in collaboration with the artist duo IC-98, a deserted house is fenced off from visitors for all eternity. The VR system lets you visit the enclosed yard virtually.
