Exceptions to opening hours
The museum is closed on Sunday, 26 December 2021, and Sunday, 2 January 2022.
Open on Epiphany, 6 January, from 12–16.

Free admission on Rauma Day, the national day for the visual arts (Kuvataiteen päivä), and Teresia Lönnström’s birthday.

To make your visit as safe as possible:

  • We have installed Plexiglas sneeze guards at the service desk.
  • Our staff wear masks.
  • Hand sanitizer is available.
  • We maintain the cleanliness and hygiene of the facilities.
  • We enforce social distancing.
  • Our staff only work if they are healthy.

Please be safe on your museum visit:

  • Only visit the museum if you are healthy.
  • Maintain good hand hygiene: cough into your elbow or a tissue.
  • Remember to maintain adequate distance to other visitors and staff. Be extra careful to observe safe distance in the smaller rooms of the museum.
  • We recommend that you use a mask.
  • Avoid unnecessary touching of all surfaces and merchandise in the museum shop.
  • We favour bank cards or Museum Card for payment.

Parking

The drive up to the museum is from the gate on Syväraumankatu, opposite the Suvitie R-kioski shop. There are parking spaces in the museum courtyard. There is also a free municipal parking lot in the park next to the fenced courtyard of the museum.

Accessibility

  • The first floor of the home museum is fully accessible and can be navigated by wheelchair. The second floor can only be accessed by stairs.
  • Disabled vehicles can drive up to about 50 metres from the museum front door.
  • Admission is free for personal assistants of disabled visitors.
  • Assistance and guide dogs are welcome to the museum.
  • The home museum gallery has seats reserved for visitors. We kindly ask you not to sit on the furniture on display in the museum.
  • The museum grounds are mostly flat and open to the public.
