Parking

The drive up to the museum is from the gate on Syväraumankatu, opposite the Suvitie R-kioski shop. There are parking spaces in the museum courtyard. There is also a free municipal parking lot in the park next to the fenced courtyard of the museum.

Accessibility

  • The first floor of the home museum is fully accessible and can be navigated by wheelchair. The second floor can only be accessed by stairs.
  • Disabled vehicles can drive up to about 50 metres from the museum front door.
  • Admission is free for personal assistants of disabled visitors.
  • Assistance and guide dogs are welcome to the museum.
  • The home museum gallery has seats reserved for visitors. We kindly ask you not to sit on the furniture on display in the museum.
  • The museum grounds are mostly flat and open to the public.
